Description

A 24-hour urine calcium test is a diagnostic test that measures the amount of calcium in urine collected over a 24-hour period. Calcium is a mineral that is important for strong bones and teeth, proper muscle and nerve function, and other bodily processes. However, too much or too little calcium in the body can cause a variety of health problems.

A 24-hour urine calcium test helps doctors diagnose and monitor various medical conditions, such as hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood), hypoparathyroidism (decreased function of the parathyroid glands), kidney stones, osteoporosis, and other bone disorders.

During the test, you will be asked to collect all your urine over a 24-hour period in a special container provided by the lab. The container must be kept cool until you return it to the lab. The lab will measure the amount of calcium in your urine and compare it to the normal range.

MOHO offers the 24-hour urine calcium test at the best labs in Nepal, approved by the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), at the lowest cost. We also provide free home sample collection and consultation with doctors to make it easy and convenient for you to get tested.
