Levator labii superioris alaeque nasi muscle extends from the bottom of the eyes to the lip margins. It is also known as Otto’s muscle.

Maxilla

Insertion

Into the alar cartilage, orbicularis oris, and the upper lip.

Blood supply

Facial artery.

Nerve supply

Facial nerve.

Action

The muscle is necessary for raising the upper lip and flaring the nostrils. It is a muscle of facial expression like sadness, dislike, etc.
