Clinical presentation:
Burning pain and increased sensitivity of the scrotal skin is the characteristic feature seen. The patient suffers from this complaint for a prolonged period. The pain is typically burning type. There is a sense of rawness and irritation felt. The discomfort is aggravated by pressure and touch of cloth. This creates a mentally irritation and can even hamper the sexual life leading to depression in most of the cases. No other skin abnormality or associated complaints are seen.
Investigations:
The symptoms of the patient are taken into consideration and a local examination of the genital area is carried out. As the symptoms do not indicate any pathology, usually no investigations are needed. However, in a few cases, if required, certain investigations can be done to rule out other diseases.

Other Modes of treatment:
Certain other modes of treatment can also be helpful in coping up with the symptoms. Taking into consideration the symptoms in a holistic way, homoeopathy can offer a good aid for the relief of the symptoms. The Ayurvedic system of medicine which uses herbs and synthetic derivates can also be beneficial in combating the complaints.
