Does running after kids count as exercise?

  • Taking inspiration from kids

Even though this cannot be termed as an exercise, if it keeps you on your feet most of the day, it surely helps you lose some amount of weight. However, there are other advantages of watching your kids do different activities. Have you seen the toddlers who keep on running here and there, without any fear of falling? All these activities are carried out effortlessly. As you grow into an adult, you stop enjoying things and are more conscious about what others will think about you. In the process, you perform all the exercises in a monotonous way, without really enjoying them. That is the reason why you do not get good results, despite exercising heavily at times.

  • Chi running

This is a free-style running that ensures minimal injury and makes you run in a natural way, without any inhibitions. If you keep on running with the kids all day, you are sure to get enough exercise. However, you cannot match their activeness and sometimes you simply watch them sprinting. To add more amount of exercise to your daily routine, you should start doing Chi Running and joyfully move your body along with them.

  • Trampoline

Kids keep on bouncing up and down, all the time. Trampoline is the revival of this same activity and it helps you enormously to stay fit. A NASA study has revealed that 10 minutes of jumping on the trampoline, is equal to running for 30 minutes. So, if you keep on jumping for 10 minutes with your child on the trampoline everyday, you are sure to get the benefit of running for half an hour.

  • Skipping

Skipping the rope is another common activity that children love to do. If you join them for 10 to 15 minutes every day, you could surely burn few calories extra.
