Fifty shades of grey – Not anymore! tips to mask grey hair

Grey hair is the most prominent sign of ageing! Seeing the first grey streaks is enough to freak you out and make you lose sleep! Here we give you few tips to cover them up naturally!

  • Henna and amla pack

    This is the best way to safely mask your grey hair. Other than covering your greys, this pack will cool you down and keep dandruff at bay too. Make a paste by grinding fresh henna leaves. Add three spoons of fresh amla/gooseberry juice to it. Mix a little curd to form a smooth paste. Let it stand for some time. Apply it all over your hair, from root to tip. Wait till the pack dries. Wash off with a mild shampoo.

  • Potato peel rinse

    This is a great way of using waste products to work wonders. The next time you are making potatoes for lunch, save the peels. The will save you from grey hair! Take potato peels in a pan and add cold water to it. Bring this to a boil and then turn down the heat. Let it simmer for a while. Allow it to cool. Strain this liquid into an air-tight container and add few drops of sandalwood oil for aroma. Every time you wash your hair, use this liquid at the last to rinse your hair.

  • Black tea remedy

    Tea has several benefits on the body. How can hair be left behind? Boil 2 spoons of tea without adding sugar or milk. Strain the mixture and allow it to cool. Use this liquid for rinsing your hair after shampooing it. Wash off with plain water.

  • Coconut and lemon

    The benefits of coconut are many. Regular use of coconut oil improves the quality of hair. Oil your hair regularly with a mixture of warm coconut oil and three spoons of fresh lemon juice.

  • Curry leaves remedy

    There is a reason why curry leaves find such a special place in our foods. Along with the amazing flavour, they also aid in digestion and are a great tonic for your hair. Boil a handful of curry leaves and strain the mixture. Allow it to cool and use this oil twice a week for healthy, black, long and strong hair.

  • Ribbed gourd remedy

    This is a very good remedy to restore the lost pigments in your grey hair. Dry pieces of ribbed gourd and then soak them in coconut oil for 3 days. Then boil this mixture till a black residue is left. Let it cool for a while and then massage it into your scalp. Wait for a while and then rinse out in your regular way.

  • Water treatment

    Premature ageing can at times be attributed to improper flushing out of toxins from our body. Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water everyday to prevent the appearance of grey hair.

  • Grey hair
