Posterior tibial artery.

Tibial nerve.
Action
It mainly helps to bend the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th toes downward. It also helps to move the foot downwards.
Disease/Injury
Overuse of flexor muscles may cause flexor tendonitis, which leads to pain.

To strengthen your flexor digitorum muscle, you need to do barefoot walking and running, towel bunching, and seated calf raises.
Interesting facts
This muscle helps the toes to ‘grip’ and mould to the surface, which is very important to maintain balance on rough surfaces.
